I love my children

That may seem like an odd title..of course, I love my children. Who doesn't love their children? Well sometimes my children make me crazy and I have even heard myself quoted on that one. I was doing something annoying to Andrew and he turned to me and said "You are making me crazy!" But lately I have just been thinking about all the little things that my children do that make me so happy.

Peter - His list is pretty short since he doesn't do much. I love it when he is crying in the morning and when I go to pick him up, he immediately stops as soon as he is in my arms. He obviously either loves me very much or is intelligent enough to know that a bottle is coming up next. I also love it when he is falling asleep and he opens his eyes to look at me again and then closes them again. It's as if he is making sure that I am still there and if I am, then it is safe to go to sleep again.

Andrew - Oh the million things that I can say about Andrew. I love it when he spontaneously comes up to me and says "Mommy, I love you". I love it when he doesn't have something and he holds out his hands and says "Look at my hands. I have no binkys". Or when he wants apple juice and he says "I neeeeeed apple juice". I love it how he asks me all day long where his daddy is and every time he hears the slightest noise outside, he lights up and says "Daddy's home!". When he finally hears the garage door at the end of a long day, you would think that Santa just showed up. Daddy is much cooler than Santa. I love how he is getting into Christmas this year. He sees commercials and he says "Look Mommy. It's Christmas!" And in the typical kid fashion, when I mention taking down the tree and decorating, he responds with "I want a present. There are presents under tree". He looked through a toy catalog and pointed out all the toys that he wanted which was pretty much everything that he knew the name of.

One of our cute Andrew stories this week was Chris told him that mommy would really appreciate it if he put his cup in the sink. I was not privy to this converstaion. Andrew put his cup in the sink and then stood by me expectantly and then started screaming.."You not say thank you. You need to say thank you". It went on like this for awhile with me not knowing why I was supposed to say thank you until I finally appeased him with a thank you and he said your welcome and walked away. Then Chris enlightened me on what I was thanking him for.

He does so many cute things. I really should write them down so I can remember them later. We were just reminiscing the other day about how he used to sing "Twinkle twinkle little star..wonder are..uppa uppa uppa sky" and how when he wanted something that we were eating, he would come up to us and smack his lips and say "some. some". Now he uses sentences. He's getting too big. But by the time he turns into a boring elementary school kid that uses proper English and doesn't have imaginary elephants in his bed, we will have cute little Peter doing cute Peter stuff. And I must say that I am enjoying having a baby again. It has been a very long time since Andrew has fallen asleep in my arms. And even if he did now, it's just not the same when they are so freakin huge.

So the moral of the story is that I am going to keep having kids until I get tired of them doing all these cute things.
