My husband rocks!

My friend Jamie did a My Husband Rocks post awhile back and I decided I would follow suit. Apparently there are a lot of bloggers that have such posts but I am not really on the up and up on all that stuff in blogging world. But nonetheless..here is my blog post about how my husband rocks!

First, blast from the past..this was 8 years ago. Aren't we cute? It's the only picture from the "wedding" that I could find on my computer. For those of you that weren't there, no we didn't get married in the mall. We went to the Food Court at North Point Mall after the reception and rode the carousel. I'm so sad it's gone!

I digress and I haven't even started yet. What are we talking about? Oh yeah my awesome husband!

Chris strives to be an imitator of Christ first and foremost. You learn in marriage classes that the order of your priorities should be God, Wife, and Kids. And Chris actually does this. Looking around, you can tell a lot of marriages may give lip service to this idea but in practice, there is a lot of selfishness and a lot of life devoted to kids and kids' activities. Chris is a very devoted husband and father but most importantly, the most important thing in his life is his relationship with Christ.

Because his relationship with Christ is so important, it is important to him to follow the Biblical principles of marriage. Chris takes his responsibility of being the head of our household very seriously. He loves me, honors me, respects me. He makes decisions regarding our household. And I take my role as a submissive wife very seriously. Not to say that we don't have disagreements about things in our household but my husband is the final say and I respect that and don't resent it. Another thing that I love about our marriage is how much Chris loves our marriage. He will frequently comment on it and it pleases me that he sees what a great marriage that we have. I love it too! I wouldn't trade my marriage for another.

Chris is a devoted father. He loves those boys so much. They are always making him laugh and smile and he gets so much delight over them. He is very much a hands on Dad. He feeds them, clothes them, diapers them, bath time, bed time. You name it and he is Super Dad when he is at home with them. Andrew loves being his big helper and is always wanting to be in Daddy's office or helping Daddy grill or bring down the big trash can from the top of the hill. Peter is still very much a mama's boy but he did spend most of the day yesterday just hanging out in Chris' office so maybe he's coming around. Chris is very interested in the discipline and schooling of our children as well which I appreciate because sometimes those decisions are not easy ones.

Chris and his little Scout buddy..baby in the picture is baby Andrew at 4 months old.

So those are just a few of the reasons of why my husband rocks. Did I mention that he also cooks and cleans? I know you're jealous. =)

I love it! I'm so glad you told all about how your husband rocks, and I know Chris will be blessed by reading this post, too!
