Assuming that I don't go into labor 1st, Joshua is scheduled to be born via C - Section on Wednesday, November 12th at 8:30 AM. I originally wanted Friday November 14th but I could tell that they weren't too keen on that day because it is so close to my due date of the 14th. So here are my pros and cons with the date that they picked. Okay so maybe it's bad to list out cons of the day that my baby is born. I mean what is more awesome than a baby being born but I am just saying that in this cool new world of being able to schedule such an event, there are disadvantages to chosen day.
Pros
1. I will spend two less days pregnant..always a good thing at that point.
2. Joshua will share a birthday with my good friend (and boss), Becky.
3. No weekend nurses!
4. Less of a chance that I go into labor and not get my doctor.
So those all pretty cool things.
Cons
1. It is harder to line up childcare for Wednesday - Friday because people are working and stuff. This is actually not a huge deal because my kids will go somewhere. It's just logistics to work out.
2. Friday would have been a little farther away from Andrew's birthday on the 11th. In the grand scheme of things, this is also not a big deal.
3. Friday would mean less vacation days for Chris. Chris has a million vacation days so I really shouldn't list that as a con. He would be going back to work the Monday after Thanksgiving regardless so I guess it is a Pro that I get him for longer. Woo!
4. I miss Bible Study but actually this might work out better because then I might be able to go on the 19th which would be the end of the year brunch.
So I was actually bummed because I did not get my 1st choice but now that I think about it, I think the 12th will work out much better. It's just that whole what to do with the two other kids thing..anybody want to watch an adorable 4 year old and very cute 1 year old? =)

I also found it quite strange to pick my child's date of birth. Sabrina was due on January 10th, so I picked January 3rd, right after the New Year's holiday. My husband flipped out with the choice I made, because he wanted to claim Sabrina as a tax deduction in 2007 AND 2008. So, he made me change it to, in his words, "December 31st or earlier - I don't care!" So I picked Dec. 27, because I didn't want nurses who would prefer to be home on Christmas and the 27th was a Thursday, so we would not have weekend nurses either. Then, when about Dec. 15th came around, I wanted that baby out of me ASAP I was so uncomfortable. But, my OB would not take her earlier because of my discomfort.
