A website..what a novel concept

I am getting a website. Not a free website. Not a blog website. But an actual website. I may even write html for it. Do you remember back in college? I know that was a long time ago. ;) Back in 1995. I knew a ton of people that had personal websites. Geeky techie college people like me. And if you stuck a name in Yahoo, their page actually showed up. Okay so actually I just ran a test and if you search for Gwyneth, her genealogy.com page shows up and now a few pages down is a picture of her brother in law Brandon. My husband's really awful web page comes up 1st on his name and I am proud to say that "Tang in a dress" still shows up as the 6th one. But whenever I want to find normal people I can't. But then I guess I never could. I tried to find a high school friend who had gone to medical school so thinking he was a doctor, I could find his practice or something. I finally concluded that he just must not be one of those doctors. And it doesn't help that his name is also one of a famous Christian psychtrisist (i also remember the days when I could spell) who wrote a book on how to really love your kids.

So I told Chris that he had to put an introduction to his website that says "I am married to Amanda Craig (formerly Amanda Burns)" so that I could find myself. Tons of self help books on how to find yourself and all I have to do is to make a website entry. I should write a book. I also told him that I wanted to be a meta tag. He laughed heartily at this. He thought it would be funny to not put in the entry and just use the meta tags so when you searched for Amanda Craig, you got his awful page about software projects that he had done. I was not amused.

So after much deliberation, I decided that I would buy my own domain name. Now I would rather buy something that gave a free web builder tool with it so I might still look into Go Daddy. Since I work with domain names at work, I now loveeee Go Daddy as a company. But the current idea is that I could just attach to his account at domain monger. I don't know how to do a website if kermit hosts it for me but Go Daddy websites come with ads. This is all very complicated but I will update again when www.amandacraig.org is up and running!
