On Monday, I was not feeling all that well. I had some sort of sinus headache and it was messing with my equilibrium and I felt very dizzy. I spent most of the day on the couch or sitting in a chair but by 5:15, I had just about had it. The baby was down for a nap and Chris was on his way home so I decided to go lie in my bed and let Andrew play in his room. After about 15 minutes, he came in my room, crawled under the covers and we had this very sweet conversation
Andrew (in a very apologetic voice): Mommy, it's okay. I'm sorry. I love you.
Me: It's okay Andrew. I just feel sick today.
ADC: I'm sorry that you are sick. Maybe you will feel better when Daddy gets home.
Me: Maybe
ADC: It's light outside and you have a fan on. Those are nice things. And you have a picture on your wall. That's nice. And you have baby Joshua in your tummy and he loves you too.
I just smile at him and he gets down and wanders away. I give in to the wave of dizziness and close my eyes. A few minutes later, Andrew pops back in the room and with a huge grin and excited voice says "Mommy! I brought you a diet coke!". My sweet little Andrew wanted so much to make me feel better and that is what he thought would do it for me. When I heard the garage door, I told Andrew to tell Chris that I wanted a wet washcloth. I knew that Chris would know why but Andrew took it upon himself to explain it to him..."Daddy, mommy needs a wet washcloth to put on her eyes like this so that her head feels better".
I got a lot more "I love yous" and hugs as the evening went on. He really didn't like to see his Mommy sick. It was very very sweet. =)
